Applications for police clearance should be forwarded directly to the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Pretoria, not to the South African Consulate General, and will be finalized within six to eight weeks from the date the application was received.
The application form or letter has to be accompanied by a full set of fingerprints obtainable from the applicant's closest police station and a fee of R96.00 either in banker's draft or money order form made payable to the South African Police Service.
The application can be sent to Inspector Erasmus or Sgt. Bunk via any courier at the:
Criminal Record Center

Pretoria, South Africa 0001
Tel: 011 (12) 393-3712 to 15
Fax: 011 (12) 393-3718 or 19
It is important to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope or prepaid courier indicating where the police clearance will be sent.
