Marriage Certificate
Persons who were married in South Africa and whose marriages were registered in South Africa may apply for their marriage certificates.
Checklist of Documents to be Submitted:
- A duly completed Form BI-130, Application for Marriage Certificate to be completed in black ink and signed by applicant
Marriage certificates are issued in South Africa and requires a waiting period of 6 months.
Attention South African Consulate General in New York Applicants ONLY:
- An administrative fee of $6.00 in certified bank check, payable to the South African Consulate General, New York.
Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
