South Africa is globally renowned for its award-winning monohulls and multihulls, as home of the 2nd largest multihull manufacturer, and for producing nearly 30% of the world's multihulls.

South Africa is also noted for its custom and semi-custom built monohulls, mutlihulls, power boats, commercial vessels, sport fishing boats and award-winning inflatables.  South African boat builders manufacture durable boats, with high quality finishes, at internationally competitive prices.

The South African Consulate General in New York and South Africa Botbuilders Export Council (SABBEX) present the 10th South African Pavilion at the Strictly Sail Miami International Boat Show, at Pier C, Miamarina Bayside from 12-16 February 2015.

SABBEX is a national council for the export promotion and export development of the boatbuilding industry, and aims to promote South Africa as a globally competitive and reputable boatbuilding nation.  SABBEX will be launching a new website in time for the Show, which will best showcase the industry's portfolio and capabilities.

SABBEX members exhibiting boat the Show include:

  • KNYSNA YACHT COMPANY:  Kysna 500 (50 foot) sailing catamaran at Slip C16
  • MAVERICK YACHTS:  Maverick 440 (44 foot) sailing catamaran at Slip C13
  • ROYAL CAPE CATAMARANS: Majestic 530 (53 foot) sailing catamaran at Slip C14
  • ST. FRANCIS MARINE:  St. Francis 50 (50 foot) sailing catamaran at Slip C15

Show visitors are welcome to join our South African wine sampling hours at the South African Pavilion at Pier C Miamarina, on 13 - 15 February, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The supporters and sponsors who contribute annually to the success of the South African Pavilion include, the South African Consulate General in New York, South African Department of Trade and Industry, National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), and Wines of South Africa (WOSA).
