Print      Important: Foreigners intending to visit South Africa are hereby informed that their passports must have at least one blank visa page for the purpose of endorsement. The blank page needed for endorsement purposes excludes pages in a passport reserved for observations and amendments. What is a Transit Visa? A transit visa is issued to a foreigner who intends to proceed from a place outside the Republic of South Africa to a destination outside South Africa, including making use of transit areas at South African ports of entry, to travel through the South Africa. Requirements: Visa application form Two (2) passport photos A valid passport in respect of the applicant. Flight itinerary showing transit in the Republic of South Africa Processing Time: On condition that complete application(s) for a visa(s) was submitted, the processing time  will be at least 10 working days. Please note that during high season the processing  of applications may take longer.
