Persons who were married in South Africa and whose marriages were registered in South Africa may apply for their marriage certificates.
Checklist of Documents to be Submitted:
- A duly completed Form BI-130, Application for Marriage Certificate to be completed in black ink and signed by applicant
- An administrative fee of $10.00 in money order or certified check payable to the South African Consulate General, New York. No personal checks will be accepted.
Marriage certificates are issued in South Africa and requires a waiting period of 6 months.
