Persons Category
This category refers to persons who in
their own right qualify to immigrate to South Africa as retired persons.
They must submit documentary proof of their financial assets readily transferable
to the Republic of South Africa. The extent of the amount transferable
or the assurance of a continued income of sufficient extent from abroad
are among the factors taken into account. Applicants on this category
must apply and await for the outcome of their application abroad.
Important
All documents must be submitted in
originals or notarized copies. Documents which are not in English must
be accompanied by certified translations into English.
All fees must be paid in certified bank
check payable to the South African Consulate General, New York.
A personal/telephonic interview is
required towards the final stage of the application provided that all
the requirements have been duly complied with by the applicant.
